Looking back over 2o+ years of working in natural medicine, I realized that no matter what the issue or complaint was from client to client, there were a handful of things we did with almost everyone. Why? Because the fundamentals of human function are the fundamentals of human function. And while some clients really need highly customized approach that go beyond the fundamentals, others needed a lot less.
Structured Yet Flexible
The Foundations Program is perfect for someone who is generally well, but needs a few tweaks here and there as they seek to optimize their health and wellbeing. And while the framework of the Foundations Program is the same from person to person, we have built in enough flexibility to still individualize this program to fit you.
The Foundations Program includes 10 consultations, either in office or virtual, throughout the 4 months. The Foundations Program is driven by our Functional Nutritionist, and overseen by Dr. Noseworthy. Three of the ten visits will be hour long consults with Dr. N, at the beginning, middle and end of your program. The remaining 7 visits are scheduled with our Functional Nutrition Staff to guide you through the process.
Is This Approach Right For Me?
If you have already made some changes to your diet and lifestyle, perhaps taken some supplements too, but feel like you’re just missing something, and need help figuring that out, then this is the program for you.
The 4 months are broken down into three phases to cover the following fundamentals in our YOUniq sequence:
Diet and Inflammation Control
Blood Sugar Control
Remember that while we put all of our clients that fit into the Foundations Program through the same process, HOW we do that varies from person to person. So while this approach is more “preset” than our Truly YOUniq Program, it is still plenty flexible to meet your needs.
In today’s world of diagnostic testing there is an overwhelming number of options. But you can’t skip steps. That’s why the YW Foundations Diagnostic Strategy is based on assessing the fundamentals, which is best done with good blood labs, saliva and stool testing.
Are there other tests you could do? Sure. And we always allow for add-ons when necessary and agreed upon, but never at the expense of the basics.
