My Professional Motto
SEE FEWER PEOPLE.
SPEND MORE TIME.
DO A BETTER JOB.
I know many other doctors provide a lot of personal, and sometimes irrelevant, information in sections of their website like this. My preference is to tell you a little bit about what makes me different than the other docs out there and why you might want to consider my services.
UNIQUE QUALIFICATIONS – A DOCTOR THAT TEACHES DOCTORS
My background in natural medicine is quite unique. Here is a brief summary.
Board Certified in Integrative Medicine and Clinical Nutrition
Board Certified in Chiropractic Neurology
Published scientific author
Certified Functional Medicine practitioner
Internationally recognized lecturer and educator
There is an increasing number of alternative medicine practitioners out there offering “natural medicine”, “nutritional medicine” or what we in our line call “functional medicine”. What you might want to know is that I am one of the few doctors that travel the country teaching this information to them so they can use it in their practice. I teach about thirty, 3-day weekend, and 2-hour seminars each year to medical doctors, osteopaths, chiropractors, acupuncturists, naturopaths and nutritionists. I have even had a few dentists, psychiatrists and a podiatrist attend my lectures.
Below is a partial list of the topics I teach to these doctors each year across the nation.
Mastering the Thyroid (Natural Medicine for Unresolved Thyroid Problems)
Mastering Brain Chemistry (Neurotransmitters and Brain Health)
Mastering Functional Blood Chemistry
Functional Endocrinology (Natural Medicine for hormone balance)
Natural Medicine for Autoimmune Disease
Nutritional Management of Gastrointestinal Disorders
Environmental Toxicity and Detoxification
Blood Sugar Disorders
Plus many more topics
I’VE ALSO CO-AUTHORED A SCIENTIFIC PAPER
THE POTENTIAL IMPACT OF VARIOUS PHYSIOLOGICAL MECHANISMS ON OUTCOMES IN TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY, CONCUSSION AND POST-CONCUSSION SYNDROME
The need for effective clinical interventions in chronic neurological diseases such as TBI and other variants of chronic neurological conditions have been called for in the literature. The cellular and neurochemical mechanisms addressed in recent literature have focused around three common themes that traverse all of these condition classes: immune and autoimmune mechanisms, inflammatory pathways and oxidative phosphorylation or other energy production damage. Limits to the effectiveness of pharmaceutical and surgical approaches are apparent, and complicated by the physiological interconnectedness of such pathways. A growing call for non-drug, non-surgical options has evolved due to the dangers of poly-pharmacy, the lifestyle illnesses, and emerging evidence pointing to functional measures and methods. This paper surveys and links selected studies of specific, measurable effects of brain injury on several body systems, and it indicates an emerging path toward outcome-based multifactorial functional neurological assessment and treatment of some of the sequelae of chronic TBI and mTBI) (mild traumatic brain injury).

At the top of this page you will see my professional motto. I firmly believe that the complaints most people are seeking help for are largely preventable but that the modern medical system is ill-equipped to handle them. The reasons are many, and hopefully you have already seen my introduction video, “The Frustration Matrix”, that outlines those for you. It really helps you understand why there is such a high level of frustration with modern medicine and why so many people like you feel like it has failed them.
One of those reasons is that the medical system has evolved to the point where patients are numbers, and low insurance payments demand they see a lot of people in a short period of time.
Well, when you have a long history of multiple complaints there is no way someone can figure out the cause of that problem, let alone the appropriate way to address them in ten minutes or less. If you have not already seen that introduction video you can access it here.
For the past two decades my passion has been to help people take charge of their health by understanding their problems and using natural medicine to make the necessary changes.
